Mariah Carey, pop legend and official authority on all things Christmas-related, announced with a video on Twitter the start of Christmas season.
As the clock on her phone strikes 12:01 a.m. on Nov. 1, Carey gets an incoming call from none other than Santa Claus himself.
“It’s time,” she sings in perfect vibrato before segueing into a glass-shattering cheer.
Carey’s holiday album, “Merry Christmas,” which came out in 1994, was a cultural phenomenon and has since dominated the Christmas landscape. Carey has fully embraced her title as Christmas Queen in recent years, returning each holiday to remind us to be festive. …
